Cookie Policy

Last updated: 1 August 2025

This Cookie Policy describes how Top Point International (“Top Point”, “we”) uses cookies and similar technologies on top‑point.org (the “Site”). It also explains your choices regarding these technologies.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores in a visitor’s browser. They allow the website to recognise your browser, remember preferences and improve usability. Information stored in cookies may be returned to our server or that of a third party on subsequent visits[1]. Other technologies, such as scripts and pixels (web beacons), perform similar functions[2].

Our Site uses cookies to ensure you have the best experience[3] and to help us understand which sections of the website you find most interesting. A cookie consent banner is displayed on your first visit so you can choose which non‑essential cookies to accept.

2. Types of cookies we use

We categorise the cookies used on our Site as follows. For each type we explain its purpose and provide examples:

  • Strictly necessary cookies – Required for the Site to function and cannot be disabled. They remember your cookie preferences and ensure core features (such as form submission) work correctly[4].

An example is gdpr_cookie_settings, which stores your consent preferences.

  • Functional cookies – These cookies allow the Site to remember your choices (such as language selection) and provide enhanced features. Examples include session cookies that keep track of your scroll position or remember your selected language.

  • Analytics cookies – Help us understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve content and usability[5]. Analytics cookies are set only if you consent via the banner.
Yandex Metrica cookies store a unique user ID and information about pages visited[6].
Google Analytics sets a series of cookies to collect information and report site usage statistics without personally identifying individual visitors[7]. The main cookie _ga distinguishes one visitor from another and lasts for 2 years[8].
These cookies help us measure audience engagement and improve our services.

  • Marketing cookies – These cookies are used to track visitors across websites to display personalised advertising or measure campaign performance. We do not set marketing cookies ourselves; however, embedded content (e.g. LinkedIn icons) may set cookies when you interact with them[9].

An example would be social network pixels that are activated only when you click an icon.

Third‑party services

We use the following third‑party services which may set cookies:

  • Google Analytics – collects anonymised usage statistics. Google states that _ga cookies are unique to the specific site and cannot track you across unrelated websites policies.google.com. More information is available in Google’s How Google uses cookies.

  • Yandex Metrica – provides analytics by setting cookies to store unique identifiers, time of visit and pages viewed. See Yandex’s privacy policy for details.

  • Tally.so – hosts our forms. When you open a form, Tally may place cookies to remember your progress and ensure the form functions correctly.

  • Typeform – hosts our forms. When you open a form, Typeform may place cookies to remember your progress and ensure the form functions correctly
  • Cookie consent plugin – the GDPR Cookie Compliance plugin sets a cookie to remember your consent preferences.

3. Managing your cookie preferences

Upon your first visit to our Site, a cookie banner will appear, allowing you to accept or reject non‑essential cookies. You can also adjust your preferences later via the “Settings” link in the banner or by changing your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to delete cookies, block cookies by default or clear them when you close the browser. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of certain features[11]
You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt‑out browser add‑on or using Google’s privacy controls at g.co/privacytools.

4. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy as technology or legal requirements change. Updates will be posted on this page and take effect when published. The date at the top shows when the policy was last revised.
